Chemical Peels

This tends to be a more intensive facial with a downtime of 5-7 days. Its deeper exfoliation process can be considered a rough equivalent of a couple microdermabrasion treatments. This facial can be effective for people with skin problems such as acne and sun damage. It also can aid in reducing fine lines and minimizing large pores. Typically, a consultation is recommended to see if the skin would benefit from a chemical peel. Deep Cleansing Facial

A deep pore-cleansing facial is what most people think of as a 'traditional' facial. This tends to be a popular choice for a first facial. It is the most basic and tends to be the cheapest. It involves deep-pore cleansing, exfoliation and extraction (a process removing blackheads either manually or mechanically), massage, a mask and moisturizing.

Dermaplaning Facial

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) using a scalpel. Dermaplaning removes the outer most layers of dead skin cells leaving the skin immediately smooth, supple and vibrant. This procedure is another non invasive method of skin rejuvenation. This is a great treatment for patients who are pregnant or nursing, who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This treatment focuses on softening and re-hydrating skin damaged by shaving, sun exposure, and the urban environment. Microdermabrasion

This facial is designed for someone with more troublesome skin. Its principal purpose is to exfoliate. Exfoliation is the process of sloughing off dead skin cells to reveal a new layer of skin. Microdermabrasion does not make the skin red or streaky. It also helps treat rosacea, a reddening condition of the skin, acne and the effects of aging.  There are several types of Microdermabrasion systems.  A Microderm Facial is where granules in a cream base are hand massaged on the skin.  A machine Microdermabrasion may be done with aluminum oxide, sodium bicarbonate or vitamin c crystals.  There also is a Diamond tip microdermabrasion which does not use crystals. Microneedling 

Microneedling is a process that involves using needles to puncture hundreds of tiny holes in the skin. It treats everything from wrinkles, acne, hyper-pigmentation and dull skin to issues such as scars, stretch marks, and cellulite. 

The purpose of this procedure is twofold:

1. The little holes from the needles create “micro channels” that allow skincare products, such as potent serums, to penetrate and absorb into the deeper layers of skin to deliver more powerful results.

2. These tiny pinpricks act as a bunch of mini injuries which kick skin into healing mode and stimulates collagen and elastin production. This process plumps skin and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars and pores. 

 There will be redness for up to a couple days afterward as a result of all the skin stimulation, but it subsides quickly as the healing begins and the results of more glowing, supple skin start to show.
