Dolphin MPS
This therapy is gentle, targeted, and clinically structured. It works differently than massage, chiropractic, or EMS. Instead of forcing muscle movement, Dolphin MPS works through the nervous system to reduce pain and restore balance.

What Is Dolphin MPS
Dolphin MPS stands for Microcurrent Point Stimulation. It uses a concentrated direct current microcurrent applied to specific acupuncture points and trigger points on the body.

These points are connected to the nervous system and fascia. By stimulating them with low level electrical current, Dolphin MPS helps regulate nerve signaling and reduce pain sensitivity.

The current used is extremely low intensity and does not cause muscle contraction. Most clients feel a mild sensation or gentle pulsing.

How Dolphin MPS Works

Pain is not only a muscle issue. It is also a nervous system response. When the body experiences injury, stress, or repetitive strain, certain areas can become hypersensitive and remain in a guarded state.

Dolphin MPS works by:
Reducing overactive pain signals
Calming the sympathetic nervous system
Releasing trigger points
Improving local circulation
Restoring normal neuromuscular communication
This makes it especially effective for chronic pain patterns that have not responded fully to traditional therapy.

What Conditions Can Dolphin MPS Help With
Dolphin MPS is commonly used for:
-
Neck and shoulder tension
-
Lower back pain
-
Sciatic type symptoms
-
Headaches and migraines
-
Post injury pain
-
Sports recovery
-
Muscle tightness and trigger points
-
Chronic stress related pain
-
Post surgical discomfort
-
Frozen shoulder
-
Tendon irritation
-
It can also be beneficial for clients with long standing pain that feels nerve related or sensitive to touch.
What to Expect During Your Session

Your practitioner will assess range of motion and identify areas of tension or restriction. A handheld Dolphin MPS device is then applied to specific trigger points or acupuncture points.
Each point is stimulated for approximately 30 to 60 seconds. The session typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on the number of areas treated.

You may feel a mild pulsing sensation. Some points may feel tender briefly, especially if they are inflamed. Many clients report immediate improvement in mobility or reduction in pain after treatment.
There is no downtime after the session.

How Many Sessions Are Recommended

The number of sessions depends on the severity and duration of symptoms.
For acute pain or recent flare ups, two to three sessions per week may be recommended initially.
For chronic conditions, a structured treatment plan may involve weekly sessions with reassessment.
For maintenance or prevention, sessions can be done every two to four weeks.

Results are cumulative and often improve when combined with corrective exercise, manual therapy, or other rehabilitation treatments.

Who Should Avoid Dolphin MPS

Dolphin MPS may not be appropriate for individuals with:
-
Pacemakers or implanted electrical devices
-
Pregnancy
-
Active infection in the treatment area
-
Uncontrolled seizure disorders
-
A consultation is recommended before beginning treatment.
